Once upon a time, human beings bought their music at glorious record stores with knowledgeable, if slightly arrogant clerks, who could tell you about new releases and do the whole "If you like the Grateful Dead, you will probably like Phish" trip. You could also acquire music by buying a few cassettes and going to friend's house, if that friend was a music collector and had a good component stereo system. A few hours listening to music, making tapes, maybe having a smoke or two. It was pretty close to heaven. For most of us, those days are gone. We don't have the energy, space or funds to collect vinyl and I'm nor sure they even make cassettes any more. Luckily though, you can still get music suggestions and show off your own music collection at Album Whale, a free web site made by the folks at Good Enough.
