The old adage that you get what you pay for isn't always the truth it appears to be on the surface. The FOSS (free and open source software) movement creates amazing versions of powerful apps on the regular. There are some free products out there that don't cost anything because they make their users the product. I'm looking at you Facebook. For any data conscious consumer, reading the privacy policy of any app is always a good step.
