The 23 Best Time Travel Novels
I've been an avid science fiction fan since a friend of my mother gave me a copy of Robert A Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Land when I was in 7th grade. I was kind of sad when I figured out as an adult that he was kind of a misogynistic fascist (not in every novel, arguably) but by then I'd moved on. I'm particularly fond of time travel novels where, despite plot holes and paradoxes, my imagination is captivated by some of the cleverest stories in literature. The list in this articles contains several of my favorites including:
- Hyperion by Dan Simmons
- Kindred by Octavia E. Butler
- Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut
- The Accidental Time Machine by Joe Haldeman
- The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August by Claire North
