The Real History of the Buffalo Wing
If you look into the history of the delicious delicacy known as the Buffalo Wing, you will often find the origin of the dish traced back to the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York and a fateful night in 1964. The problem with that is the fact that a black-owned restaurant in the same town named Wings and Things was already operating, serving hundreds of pounds of wings every day, including to the owners of the Anchor bar! Regardless, the tradition survives today, thankfully of fried (or baked) chicken drumettes and flats coated in various hot sauces and served with celery and bleu cheese dressing. They are one of the most popular dishes in the United States.
