I have to add the Oregon Trail to the long list of games I never played. My school didn't have computers until after I left. When I started working in educational IT support, there were still Apple lles all over the place and kids played the game constantly. All of my colleagues were younger than me and they'd all played it. Looking into it, I found that there is a pretty fascinating history. The game dates back all the way to 1971 and continues to sell today. In 2011 it had already sold 65 million copies and that was before the Apple Arcade, Nintendo Switch, Playstation and Xbox versions.
